Product Description
Vintage British Army 1968 Pattern DPM Combat Smock Camo Jacket - Rare Dual Sleeve Pocket Variant
This jacket is a unique and rare genuine vintage British Army 1968 Patter Combat Smock in classic Wooldand DPM camouflage. Unlike the standard general-issue jackets which only feature a pen pocket on the left arm, this specific smock features an additional utility pocket cleanly sewn onto the right sleeve, which is highly indicative of a specialized unit issue (such as an Airborne/Para jump smock style) or a professional in-the-field theater modification.
Men's Size: Medium (Additional measurements shown in the photos are approximate and measured in inches while the garment is laid flat.)
Approximate Measurements (Taken Flat):
- Armpit to Armpit: 22 inches
- Length (Backside, top of collar to seam): 34.75 inches
- Sleeve (Shoulder seam to cuff): 23.25 inches
Condition: Used/Modified; PLEASE READ BELOW
- LINING: The original heavy full-length cotton inner lining has been historically cut out/removed. The raw edges are visible along the interior facings and bottom hem. This makes the smock significantly light and much more practical for year-round wear or layering compared to a standard, heavily lined '68 pattern.
- HARDWARE: The central zipper and all external buttons are present and functional.
- TAGS: The original size and instruction tags are missing. These may have been cut out when the lining was cut out.
- OTHER: While the color is still dark and vibrant with minimal fading, there are a few light stains throughout. There are a couple small holes, most noticeable there are two small holes; one on the upper back right-side and the other under the right sleeve (SHOWN IN PHOTOS). There may be other areas, but these are the most noticeable during our initial inspection.
